Privacy Policy

The short version: your calculator inputs stay in your browser. There are no accounts or databases of calculator inputs. Contact emails and technical data are handled separately, as explained below.

1. Who we are TaxRefundCalculator.io is operated by one independent developer. Tax Refund Calculator is the project name. See About for information about site maintenance and sources. Contact: hello@taxrefundcalculator.io.

2. What you enter into the calculator We do not collect, transmit, or store any calculator inputs — income, withholding, filing status, dependents: none of it. All calculations run locally in your browser. There is no server that receives your entries, no account system, and no database of calculator inputs. Calculator entries are not automatically included in emails to us. Information you choose to send by email is covered by section 6 below.

3. Technical data processed by our infrastructure Like nearly every website, our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) processes limited technical data — e.g., IP address and request time — to serve pages and block abuse. This is standard infrastructure logging; it isn't used to identify or profile you.

4. Analytics We use a self-hosted instance of Umami, served from analytics.peekkit.com, to understand how visitors use this website.

Umami's tracker is designed not to use cookies. We do not send the financial information you enter into our calculators or your calculation results to our analytics system. We do not send email contents to Umami. We do not currently use Google Analytics.

Cookie-free analytics can still process technical data, such as pages visited, referrer, browser information and network information. If we add other analytics services or change this setup, we will update this policy. The calculators will remain usable if analytics is blocked.

5. Affiliate links We do not currently participate in affiliate programs or use affiliate links. Ordinary links to other websites lead to third-party sites with their own privacy policies. If we introduce affiliate links, we will update this policy and identify those links.

6. If you email us If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include in your message. We use that information to handle your request and reply. Please do not send Social Security numbers, account numbers or complete tax returns. We do not use your messages for mailing lists or sell them.

7. Children This site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Privacy questions and requests We do not hold your calculator inputs. If you have questions about information you have sent us by email, or want to make a privacy request, contact hello@taxrefundcalculator.io. We will respond to your request in accordance with applicable requirements.

9. Changes to this policy If we change this policy, the "Last updated" date above changes with it.
